I wish that I was born on Tahiti
I imagine there would be endless sun and warmth
Lovely starlit nights
Bare breasted Polynesian ladies stepping out of Gaugin to garland me with flowers
Or is that Hawaii?
I wish that I had been born on Tahiti
Never been cold or hungry or lost
Always eating yam and spicy fruits
Dancing to the moonlight
